Using either the Universal-16 or the Universal-96 choice Array Matrix format for sample processing, the DASL Assay offers researchers the opportunity to analyze hundreds to thousands of RNA transcripts derived from previously collected, preserved, samples over 20 years old.
- Instead of gene-specific sequences, Universal Arrays contain universal sequences, or addresses, that hybridize to complementary sequences in the prepared sample
- Other than initial sample preparation, the core biochemical approach is the same as in the proven GoldenGate Genotyping Assay, a robust protocol used broadly for high-throughput genotyping applications
The DASL Assay requires use of a cDNA Synthesis Kit, GoldenGate Assay Kit, DAP, and Universal Array.
