Illumina's iControlDB is an online database of genotype and phenotype data from individuals that can be used as controls in association studies. These data are generated from Illumina genotyping products and can be seamlessly integrated into your study to increase statistical power and reduce overall project costs.
In the spirit of collaboration and furthering scientific progress, researchers around the world have contributed their control genotype data, which Illumina provides as a freely available resource to its community of users.
To access control data, customers need to download and install the standalone software application, iControlDB Client onto their local computer. This user-friendly software enables easy searching and filtering of the database samples based on criteria such as genotyping product, phenotype, ethnicity, and age. Selected control data can then be downloaded via the standalone application as either raw genotype information, or as a combined final case report generated in GenomeStudio or BeadStudio. Raw intensity data are not currently available for download.
