Identify bead locations on your BeadChip and quantify the signal associated with each bead.
Describe the SNP or probe content on a BeadChip or in an assay pool.
Describe the cluster positions for a standard Illumina genotyping array.
Identify the genotyping product for processing BeadChips in Illumina LIMS.
Concurrent with the upgrade of the Decode File Client to version 3.0, the retention policy for the DMAP files has been expanded to incorporate Illumina's continuing goal of world-class support and responsiveness to customer feedback.
DMAPs will be available a minimum of 12 months from the manufacturing date*, which corresponds to the maximum time from manufacturing to expiration for our current BeadChips. During this time, customers can download the DMAPs as many times as they wish and the files will not be deleted.
We are aware that some customers may wish to have the DMAPs available even after the arrays have expired. Although it is not advisable to run Illumina BeadChips after their expiration, the DMAPs that were not downloaded during the initial 12-month period will remain available for up to an additional 12-months (2-years from manufacturing). The only exception will be if the DMAPs are successfully downloaded between the 12 and 24-month time frame. In this case, the DMAPs will be removed and unavailable for downloading again 45 days after the successful download.
*Manufacturing dates can be found on BeadChip packages

All Manifest files are required for data analysis in Illumina's GenomeStudio software. Manifest files provide a description of the SNP or probe content on a standard BeadChip or in an assay product. They are available as a (.bpm) file for Infinium BeadChips, (.opa) file for GoldenGate assay pools, (.dap) file for DASL assay pools, or (.bgx) file for gene expression arrays, and are provided for both standard and custom arrays.
For BeadChips, the (.bpm) files and GoldenGate (.opa) files are also used by the Infinium LIMS Project manager to track samples throughout analysis.
For Illumina LIMS users, manifest file downloads will also include an (.xml) file that is required for processing BeadChips in LIMS.
Cluster files (.egt) are used when analyzing data to make genotype calls. These files are provided for standard Infinium BeadChip products, but are not provided for any custom GoldenGate or VeraCode OPA or custom or consortium-developed iSelect BeadChips.
Use these files to create genotype calls and analyze data in Illumina's GenomeStudio software.

Known as product definition files, these files are required by Illumina LIMS to identify and accession products into the system. The appropriate .xml definition file is automatically included in the download of an Infinium BeadChip manifest file (.bpm) or GoldenGate manifest file (.opa). Product definition files are provided for catalog and custom genotyping products.
