  Experiment Manager

  The Illumina Experiment Manager is a wizard-driven application that allows researchers to safely design experiments prior to a HiSeq, GA or HiScan SQ sequencing run. Researchers can design experiments with pooled samples, import entire library of plates, or pick and pool wells.

  Control Software

  The system Control Software, HCS (HiSeq and HiScan systems) and SCS (Genome Analyzer systems), features an easy-to-use, workflow-oriented, touchscreen to guide the experimental set-up, from loading the flow cell and reagents to calling bases*. During the run, the HCS/SCS software controls the flow cell stage, fluidics system, and flow cell temperatures; and captures images of clusters. Image analysis, base calling, and base call quality are generated automatically during the run with the Real Time Analysis (RTA) software.
