System Description

The SQ Module provides any lab that has traditionally run microarray assays an economical and convenient gateway to next-generation sequencing. The streamlined workflow ensures convenient operation and reproducible results with minimal user intervention.

The SQ Module enables resequencing of small genomes or targeted genomic regions, a deeper understanding of the transcriptome with mRNA-Seq, discovery and profiling of miRNA expression, characterization of genome-wide DNA-protein interaction sites with ChIP-Seq, and validation of array-based expression and splice variant data, and allows identification of target SNPs from sequencing experiments to design iSelect custom genotyping panels for any species and any study.

  • The SQ Module provides flexibility for paired-end reads, multiplexing (up to 12 samples per lane; 96 samples per flow cell), and customizable read lengths for any experimental design.
  • To perform sequencing on the iScan System, a Sequencing Module, Cluster Station, and data analysis tools are required.
