Oligator technology

Illumina's proprietary Oligator oligonucleotide synthesis technology provides industry-leading quality and throughput. Complemented by a highly automated, fully integrated manufacturing facility, we are capable of synthesizing more than 4 million bases per day.

We utilize our Oligator oligonucleotide synthesis technology to manufacture oligos that we attach to our beads, and provide in our assay pools. Additionally, our oligos are commercially available in tubes and plates through our collaboration partner Invitrogen for use in a variety of molecular biology applications.
