Illumina HiSeq SBS Kit v4 and HiSeq Cluster Kits v4

HiSeq v4 reagents leverage the latest innovations in Illumina sequencing technology, offering improved cluster density and throughput, while enhancing the overall utility of the HiSeq platform. The kits contain ready-to-load reagents specifically designed for enabled* HiSeq sequencing systems.

The increased capacity and rapid turnaround time of the new v4 reagent kits enable researchers, in a single run, to process up to:

  • 10 genomes
  • 156 TruSeq Exomes and 156 Truseq Rapid Exomes
  • 80 whole transcriptome RNA samples

(Assumes 100 gigabases (Gb) per genome at 2x125bp, 5 Gb per exome at 2x100bp, 50 million reads per transcriptome)

Increase daily throughput
The HiSeq v4 reagent kits generate up to 1 terabase (1Tb) of data per 6-day run (up to 500 Gb per flow cell), increasing daily throughput to 167 Gb per day. The new v4 reagents increase the number of clusters by 33% compared to the TruSeq SBS Kit v3, adding additional capacity for counting assays.

Flexible run configuration with a broad range of sequencing outputs
HiSeq systems continue to be the most flexible high-throughput sequencing systems on the market. The new v4 kits further improve output of the HiSeq system. You can choose from single or paired-end read runs, with read lengths up to 2×125 bp in high output mode. Enhanced rapid run kits now provide longer read lengths (up to 2×250 bp). These improvements continue to enable the broadest range of supported applications on the market, from ChIP-Seq, to whole-genome sequencing, to splice variant detection and more.
