iSeq 100 Reagents

Reagents for the iSeq 100 System feature a ready-to-use cartridge with one-channel SBS chemistry and CMOS technology for simple, low-cost sequencing.

Overview

iSeq 100 Reagents leverage complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology to deliver one-channel sequencing by synthesis chemistry, significantly reducing the cost of sequencing compared to two- and four-channel chemistries. This allows labs of all sizes to take advantage of the power and reliability of Illumina next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology at an affordable price.

Key features

  • Support for both single-read and paired-end sequencing

  • Versatility in applications ranging from cancer panels to small-genome sequencing

  • A simple workflow that integrates all reagents into a single cartridge

  • Optimized chemistry to reduce the occurrence of no-cluster run failures

  • Longer storage time, providing greater flexibility for reagent staging and run planning

  • The generation of a high percentage of bases above Q30 on the iSeq 100 System

FAQs

Yes, iSeq 100 i1 Reagents include all consumables to support both single-read and paired-end sequencing. During run setup, the iSeq 100 System can be configured to generate either single-read or paired-end data.

The 300-cycle reagents support up to 322 cycles of sequencing to allow for dual 10 bp indexes on a 2 × 151 run.

No, DNA denaturation is performed on the cartridge.

A patterned flow cell has billions of ordered nanowells that are manufactured into the flow cell glass. The ordered wells allow for the generation of sequencing clusters in an ordered arrangement. Clusters are aligned more closely together, increasing the number of output reads and amount of sequence data generated. The iSeq 100 Reagents cartridge contains a patterned flow cell fabricated over a CMOS chip. Learn more about patterned flow cells

v1 reagents have been discontinued and replaced with iSeq 100 i1 Reagents v2.

Note: iSeq 100 Software System Suite v2.0 or later is required to run the iSeq 100 i1 Reagents v2 kits.
