The Omni2.5-8 BeadChip is an integral part of the Omni Family of Microarrays , which provides researchers favorable pricing and the fastest access to new variants identified by the 1000 Genomes Project. With Omni2.5, researchers can begin genome-wide association studies immediately and add additional markers on supplemental arrays as they become available. For those interested in the Omni Roadmap, Illumina has developed Infinium Multi-Use Sample Preparation kits. These kits require only a single sample amplification, which can be used and then stored for supplemental roadmap arrays as they become available.
