Powered by the revolutionary Illumina Infinium Methylation Assay, this BeadChip allows researchers to interrogate more than 485,000 methylation sites per sample at single-nucleotide resolution. Content was selected with the guidance of a consortium of methylation experts comprising 22 members that represent 19 institutions worldwide.
The array covers 99% of RefSeq genes, with an average of 17 CpG sites per gene region distributed across the promoter, 5'UTR, first exon, gene body, and 3'UTR. This BeadChip has a 12-sample per array format compatible with automation. This enables up to 96 samples to be run in parallel (with full LIMS support available), and requires only 500 ng of input (1 µg with automation). In addition, an FFPE-compatible protocol is now available.
