상세 정보

The Korean Human Proteomics Organization (KHUPO) 2026 will take place from June 24–26, 2026, at SONO Calm in Gyeongju, South Korea.

Illumina will participate in KHUPO 2026 to engage with the proteomics research community and showcase how next-generation proteomics technologies are advancing biological and translational research.

At this year’s meeting, Illumina will highlight its innovative Illumina SomaSeq™ Discovery solution (previously Illumina Protein Prep), designed to enable scalable, reproducible, and high-throughput proteomics workflows. By integrating proteomics with genomic and multiomics approaches, Illumina continues to expand capabilities for comprehensive biological insights.

Aligned with the growing importance of proteomics in systems biology and precision medicine, Illumina will demonstrate how its technologies complement existing methodologies and support researchers in achieving deeper, data-driven discoveries.

At KHUPO, we are presenting a unified Illumina and SomaLogic booth to showcase the power of our combined technologies in advancing next-generation proteomics and multiomics research. Through our booth engagement and industry workshop session, we aim to provide practical, actionable insights into proteomics workflows and demonstrate how they integrate within our high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS) ecosystem. Together, we are reinforcing our leadership in enabling comprehensive multiomics approaches for researchers.

By integrating SomaLogic’s proteomics technology into our scalable NGS platforms, we are delivering new ways to explore the proteome at scale. This combined capability enhances biomarker discovery and disease profiling, enabling researchers to generate deeper, more meaningful insights—faster and more efficiently.

We are proud to join forces to deliver advanced proteomics solutions. By combining our expertise and technologies, we are accelerating innovation, expanding market reach, and helping reduce the time and cost of proteomic research. Together, we are leveraging proven technology to empower more insights, bringing the scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency of NGS into protein analysis.

Session Details

The Illumina-sponsored workshop will focus on the latest innovation in proteomics technologies, highlighting the capabilities of Illumina SomaSeq Discovery and its role in advancing protein analysis workflows.

Workshop Information
  • Date & Time: June 25, 12:30 – 13:00
  • Speaker: Dalia Daujotyte, Ph.D, Head of Translational Proteomics, Multiomics partnerships, Illumina
  • Talk title : Illumina Multiomics in Practice with the SOMAmer-Based Illumina Proteomics Solution
  • Abstract : Proteomics bridges genotype and phenotype, yet DNA and RNA surrogates correlate poorly with protein levels. Illumina SomaSeq Discovery combines SOMAmer-based capture with NGS readout and integrated analysis to profile 9,500 human proteins via 11,000 SOMAmer reagents, delivering femtomolar sensitivity, >10-log dynamic range, ~5.5% CVs, and the largest orthogonally validated panel on market, with high concordance to SomaScan arrays. A featured case study from the University of Sydney Mass Spec Core applies SomaSeq to a Type 2 Diabetes dietary intervention trial, uncovering 12 differentially expressed proteins – including leptin – undetected by mass spectrometry, demonstrating SomaSeq discovery power as a complement to MS workflows.
