The Illumina Solutions Center in Tokyo (ISC Tokyo) is located in an easily accessible port district. ISC Tokyo has a lab with Illumina sequencing platforms that allows Japanese researchers and scientists to experience Illumina products.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) is an innovative technology that enables researchers to perform a variety of applications and study biological systems at levels previously impossible. Illumina offers first-time NGS users a series of training courses that introduce sequencing workflows for specific applications such as DNA, RNA, oncology and microbiology.
