The main difference between each Infinium Global Screening Array-48 Kit is the number of samples supported with the provided reagents. Select from kits with a “+” designation when custom content is needed for the array.
Customers will need the iScan System, Infinium Automated Pipetting System with ILASS, and an Infinium EX/XT Starter Kit 220V or Infinium EX/XT Starter Kit 110V.
The Infinium Amplification System is optional but can be added to enable automation of the pre-amplification steps in the workflow.

Illumina Lab Automation Software Solution (ILASS) guides the user through the steps of the workflow via an intuitive user interface and provides on-deck validation, meaning the consumables loaded on the liquid handling robots are verified prior to use regardless of whether the customer is using LIMS. Real-time integration with cloud-based Clarity LIMS supports compliance with eSignature capability, audit trails, reagent and lot tracking, preset protocols, and privacy and security controls, which is critical for high-throughput customers.
Both arrays feature a multiethnic genome-wide backbone with content for population studies, variant screening, and precision medicine research. In addition to this, Infinium Global Clinical Research Array-24 v1.0 covers additional clinical research markers from ACMG 73 and gnomAD exome to increase coverage of underrepresented populations.
