Product Highlights

The Urinary Pathogen ID/AMR Panel (UPIP) is designed to identify uropathogens responsible for urinary tract infections (UTIs) and co-infections, detect antimicrobial resistance, and perform strain typing of critical pathogens to study evolution and transmission. UPIP is a next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel that detects and quantifies over 170 common, less common, challenging-to-grow, and frequently missed uropathogens.

  • Broad detection of uropathogens — Delivers comprehensive detection of critical pathogens, including 27 sexually transmitted pathogens, 120+ bacteria, 14 fungi, 35 viruses, and 4 parasites.
  • Detection of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes — Accurate detection of >3700 associated AMR markers.
  • Quality control — Includes probes targeting 10 commercially available spike-in control options.
  • Cost-effective — The comprehensive panel design enables cost-effective detection of DNA uropathogens and AMR genes simultaneously, from a single assay.
  • Rapid — Delivers simultaneous detection of bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and AMR alleles in <24 hours using the MiniSeq Rapid Reagent Kit.
